Delete your NovelForge account

This page is for people who created a NovelForge account and want it, and the data tied to it, removed. You do not need the app installed.

How to request deletion

Send an email from the address on the account to privacy@novelforge.cc with the subject line Account deletion request.

In the body, write the account email (if it differs from the From address) and that you want the account deleted. We will confirm when the request is received.

If you still have the app, you can also delete from inside NovelForge: Account menu → Delete account. That starts the same process.

What is deleted

• Your account (email, display name, hashed password, device list).
• Cloud-synced manuscripts, Codex entries, comments, and project metadata stored for that account.
• Cloud backups tied to that account.
• Collaborator access: you are removed from shared projects; other people’s copies of those projects stay.

What stays for a while, and why

Deletion is a 30-day grace period first (so a mistaken request can be undone), then a permanent purge. Backups and deletion records are kept for up to 90 days, then removed. Operational logs may be kept for the periods in the Privacy Policy (auth logs ~90 days, audit log ~1 year). We do not keep your writing after the purge in order to “reactivate” the account.

If the law requires us to keep a record (for example a billing record), that record is kept only as long as required, and it is not used to restore the account.

Paid plans

Deleting the account does not by itself cancel a store or payment-provider subscription. Cancel the plan first in the place you paid (Google Play, or the checkout we used), then send the deletion request. If you need help, write to support@novelforge.cc.

Writing on this device

Manuscripts stored only on your computer or phone are not in our cloud. Deleting the account does not erase files that never left the device. Export or copy them yourself before you wipe the app if you want to keep them.
